OVERBENDING - A NECESSARY EVIL? Sylvia Loch Lecture speaking out against the Rollkur and present fad for lowering the horse's head by force. A 3 hour Lecture Evening (with over 60 slides) and refreshments held in conjunction with the BORDERS FESTIVAL OF THE HORSE at Sylvia's home, Eden Hall, Kelso, Scotland TD5 7QD. Tickets £18.00 per head (£16.00 for Classical Riding Club Members) to be ordered by post with SAE and cheque enclosed. Places limited to 40 only, so first come, first served!

JUNE 15-21 SPECIAL PORTUGUESE COURSE - 2008!

Sylvia has had to restrict her teaching abroad due to ongoing problems following a foot operation. She will only be attending one Course at Quinta do Archino, nr. Lisbon this year. HURRY TO BOOK!

SPECIAL A/S-Course
A 6 Day Dressage Course with D. Francisco de Braganca and Sylvia Loch as guest Trainer and Lecturer. All communications for this week only to Sylvia at sylvialoch@hotmail.co.uk please.

Once your booking is accepted - your plaace will be confirmed upon receipt of an initial(non-returnable)Deposit of £235. 00 sent direct to Sylvia. If this is made via a non-British bank, we regret having to charge £250 (instead of £235. 00) to cover bank charges. Once secure, the Balance of your Course must be paid within 6 weeks of your arrival at Quinta do Archino in the form of a transfer follow-up payment of .... euros payable to D. Francisco.

On this Course you ride with D. Francisco whole day Monday, Tuesday morning, Thursday and Friday. Sylvia joins her students for lunch on the Tuesday, teaching Tuesday evening and Wednesday and staying overnight.

Your special individual programme with Sylvia includes -
* 2 x Weight Aids/Body Awareness Workshops by the pool
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons
* a private dressage lesson Tuesday evening
* a private dressage lesson Wednesday morning
* Questions and Answers over meal times

Individual attention is assured with no more than 4 riders staying at any one time (with or without non-riding partners who may be accommodated at a reasonable price as an extra - see www.quintadoarchino.org

All Courses include: full board and tuition on sensitive, highly schooled Lusitano horses.
Lessons are as follows:
Monday - Friday - 2 lessons per day, except Wednesday which is a half day (l lesson only).

Breakfast is continental. 2 Course Lunch course; 3 course Dinner. All meals comprise of delicious, traditional Portuguese cuisine fresh from the farm or local seaside resorts. Vegetarian requirements can be accommodated with prior warning.
